Thanks to generous and engaged volunteers, today we're able to put 100% of every donation directly toward active projects.
Right now we're raising funds to build an environmentally safe, lined landfill in Haiti. Once the landfill is built, trash will have a safe place to go -- so the daily practice of burning trash will stop and people can breathe clean air; so drinking and ground water is not contaminated; so plastic doesn't run without restraint into the ocean wreaking havoc on the marine ecosystem...So the people of Haiti have a sustainable solution that can help restore health and prosperity to the nation. Your contributions are even more critical in these unprecedented times. We are all in this together. Those in vulnerable communities, without access to basic trash and waste solutions, are even more susceptible to infectious diseases like COVID-19. And the economic fallout from this pandemic may leave vulnerable children and families with even less access to safe places to sleep, to clean water, to food, jobs, and other basic life needs.
